T.A.P:


The target of this Shout magazine is to bring in the their audience and show the reason why they should be the right magazine they should buy because when they look at the front page the audience will know that they are keeping up with the latest trends in the world of showbiz and gossip.

The main target audience is for 12 - 16+ years because of the Shout magazine editor has used a range of bright colours against the dark background which makes it eye-catching toward the female audience because of the "girly" colours. Also they have use the main image is Cheryl Cole because they want to appeal to fans have a interest. This will give the audience a reason why have to buy shout magazine.
They have different ways of making  the audience feel like this magazine wants to connect with them. First off, they made they slogan for Shout "it's all about you!" this implies that this magazine way made for them and them only and by adding the exclamation mark suggest that this you need to keep with magazine if you want to know about your news. Also they have make sure they they have tool like the social media to make sure you have Shout news very close to you. In addition to this they have competitions that the Shout reader can enter if they want to win amazing prizes. For example, at the front of their magazine they are showing the competition where the readers can win the a blackberry and set of make up. This is effective because their target audience is for young female and they know that by showing this that they want will bring them on why need to my Shout magazine. By having a new phone, they can stay on top the worlds trend and keep it up to speed and by have the news make up that money can buy the audience can stay looking like they are apart of the rich lifestyle just like their celebrities. If they enter and they win that competition, the winner  cant tell that they have won the competition and get their friends involves to. They have their very own website that all the shout reader can read if they want more information about their favourite student. On the lines of social media, they have made a hashtag called "#10TwitterAddictSigns" and by doing this is a great way of fans of shout can connect with each other and see this they have similar interests and the more people who use that hashtag with click on it which will bring more readers.

On this front cover they have show different media conventions that help serve  their purpose of this front cover and why the have done these with effect. the title “Shout” is in white and the reason why the Shout editors did this was to show that they is a contrast between the dark background and that the title should be first thing that they see and that the name "Shout" should be stuck in the audience's memory. The font of the writing is really edgy and bold around the words "Biggest Trends". By doing this it make issue clothes are at their highest peak and that edginess show that it is very urgent that you need to have a look on what is the best trends in the world right now.
